RESIDENTIAL HOME INSPECTION
Prexage Residential Home Inspection is a comprehensive and noninvasive inspection of all safely accessible systems and components of the home. We will check the condition of all systems and find problems or potential problems that buyers need to know about before purchase. Our inspection adheres to the Standards of Practice (SOP) as stated by The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). During our inspection services, we inspect accessible areas including:
• Exterior systems
• Roofing, flashing, penetrations, and chimneys • Structural systems
• Plumbing systems
• Electrical systems
• Interior components
• Heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) systems
• Fireplaces and solid fuel-burning appliances
•Insulation and ventilation of attics, crawlspaces, and unfinished basements
Pre-Listing Home Inspection
Before you sell a home, you should know that a Pre-Listing Inspection can make your home more appealing to buyers and save you time in the long-run. During our inspection, we will find any issues that might deter buyers or lower their offers, giving you the opportunity to have the home repaired before listing it.
Our inspection services extend to commercial buildings. Allow us to check the property for fit, overall condition, and safety. We inspect both smaller commercial properties such as storefronts and offices, and also larger properties such as warehouses and manufacturing.
Home Energy Service
For the eco-minded individual, we can perform a home energy inspection for existing homes, or during the planning phase for new homes. We perform an analysis, including a blower door test, then provide information about upgrades. Plus we’re always available to come and re-test. Owners of energy efficient homes can qualify for grants – ask us!
Wood Energy Technology Transfer Inspection
If the home has a wood-burning appliance, your insurance company will require a WETT Inspection to make sure that it is compliant. We’re able to provide this service during the inspection, keeping you from having to be inconvenienced by a second inspection at another time.
